 James is an intense character...
He is a young resident of Oklahoma with a classy polished British accent. He loves chasing the dangers of mother nature in the landscapes of the Oklahoma prairie, where historically the most awesome tornadic events have been recorded. What attracted James to storm chasing in Oklahoma is the fact that he can satisfy his insatiable urge for being where the action is, and the Oklahoma landscape satifies James, James says.
I must learn all about tornadic events...
When I was a child I was terrified of tornados, although we did not have any of these monsters back then in the UK, but watching them on television news was enough to terrify me. The fear of a tornado was eventually replaced with intense interest to know about them, and of course I always wanted to chase them, he added. To do it right, maximizing my safety, I enrolled in the school of Meteorology at the distinguished school of Meteorology of the University of Oklahoma and moved to Oklahoma, where the real action is. I figured if I am going to chase these monsters, I might as well know everything I should know. I have captured, recorded more than 30 tornados since I have started in Oklahoma, James added.
My mother is my inspiration...
One the most admiring aspect of James character is not not his storm chasing skills or his well equipped chase truck. It is his sincere bragging about his mom as a source of inspiration and support. My mother supports my storm chasing activities and that is very important to me, he says. She is certainly a positive character in my life.

James using VideoMover interface with Inmarsat BGAN for live reporting... In his arsenal of tools, he uses a Thrane & Thrane Explorer 527 BGAN autotracking terminal with roof antenna along with VideoMover software designed for BGAN interface. He also uses Sprint Network interface with VideoMover when he is within the range of cellular network. With his BGAN unit he can transmit LIVE from areas where no other live coverage of severe weather is possible, thanks to VideoMover and the Inmarsat BGAN terminal that allows James to send live footage back to Gary England's weather studio.
Stay safe James, Oklahomans love and sincerely appreciate your reporting.
